Last year R. Madrid won this tournament, and this year F. C. Barcelona is the favourite to win the championship. This tournament has a history and we´re gonna revise it:

- In 1974, the team Bayern München won the Europe Cup defeating in the final to the team Atlético de Madrid (1-1, 4-0). The team cualified to the Intercontinental Cup but they don´t want to go to the tournament. Then, the team Atlético de Madrid was invite to the tournament, this team won it and this was the ONLY TIME WHEN A TEAM WON THIS TOURNAMENT WITHOUT WINNING THE CONTINENTAL TOURNAMENT.
